My sister taught in Japan for a couple years through a great program called JET that brought American teachers to Japan to teach English to students. During this time she connected with many wonderful people. She lived and worked in Miyagi which is now virtually gone due to the Tsunami – the pictures and video and personal stories we are hearing from her friends are heartbreaking.
